About Westmont College
Founded in 1937 and located in the unincorporated community of Montecito — adjacent to Santa Barbara — Westmont College is a non-denominational Christian liberal arts college consistently ranked among the top liberal arts colleges in the West. With approximately 1,300 students, a student-faculty ratio of 11:1, and a residential campus that makes community formation central to its mission, Westmont offers an education of remarkable depth and intimacy.
Westmont operates on a semester system (Fall and Spring). Each fall, new students move in and go through orientation in late August before classes begin. Commencement is held each spring at Thorrington Field — a stunning outdoor venue that captures the Westmont experience perfectly.

All four of our hotels are approximately 10–15 minutes from Westmont's campus at 955 La Paz Road, Montecito, via Highway 101. Montecito is immediately adjacent to Santa Barbara — the drive is short, scenic, and straightforward.

Yes — Westmont's Parent & Family Weekend is held each spring in connection with the college's beloved Spring Sing event. Parents and families of all students are welcome. Pre-registration is encouraged. Contact Westmont's Parents & Families office for specific dates for each academic year.
- Are there restaurants or things to do near your hotels after a Westmont visit?
Absolutely. Our West Beach hotels are steps from the Santa Barbara waterfront, Stearns Wharf, and the Funk Zone — one of California's most exciting wine, art, and dining districts. State Street offers excellent shopping and restaurant options. The Santa Barbara Mission and Botanic Garden are a short drive. Santa Ynez wine country is 40–45 minutes north.
